The conference, a one day event organised by AGMET, will be held in the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9.
The conference will focus on climatic issues associated with sustainable wind, solar, marine and biomass energy supply in Ireland. The conference will feature four keynote speakers as well as shorter presentations and posters on research in the area of climate change and energy.
The four keynote presentations scheduled are:
Wind Energy and the Irish climate by Rick Watson (UCD)
Potential of bioenergy for the UK, Ireland and Europe for current and future climate by Astley Hastings (University of Aberdeen)
Marine Renewable Energy and the Irish Wave Resource by Glen Nolan and Eoin Sweeny (Marine Institute)
Solar Energy and the Irish Climate by Brian Norton (DIT)
